Editor's Report 

    During the past year revisions have been made to our website, not only to acquaint the casual visitor to our organization, but also to serve as a tool for our members.  Therefore every attempt is being made to keep the website as current and as accurate as possible.      

-Dates have been placed on each page informing the visitor as to the last update of that page.

-The names, addresses and phone numbers of each of the Board members can be found on the page entitled “Administration”.  There is also an active e-mail link to each member.

-The list of component chapter secretary-treasurers is as current as the information that is provided by each secretary in his/her annual report. In addition to an address and phone number, an active link is provided for each component chapter secretary-treasurer who provided an e-mail address. This information should prove to be a useful feature when trying to contact another chapter.

-Two of our chapters have their own website and links have been created to their individual homepages.

-When you click onto our various awards, you will not only find a description of the award, but the names of past recipients, and also their picture.

-A form has been created and placed on the website entitled “Annual Chapter Report”.  This form allows a component chapter secretary-treasurer to file an annual report online.   

-The “Membership Certificates & Insignia” and the “Kramer Nomination” forms have been placed on the website in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). A component chapter secretary need only go to the web in order to download these forms.  Since the forms are also interactive, the secretary is able to complete the form in his/her browser window before printing it. The “Remittance Form” and current “Price List” is also available for download.

-An “Archive” has been established as a repository for past e-Bulletins.  Currently the archive contains the 1998, 1999 and 2000 e-Bulletins.

-The “2001 Bulletin” was placed online in October 2001. If you have had the opportunity to view this year’s “e-Bulletin”, I hope you enjoyed the new “Component Chapter Activities” page. A letter was sent to each component chapter asking for pictures and points of interest that the chapter would like to share. When you click on the chapter’s name you are sent to that chapter’s activity page.  I was impressed with some of the splendid activities that are being undertaken by our various component chapters.  I would like to share a few with you:

    -Kappa Kappa chapter has established a new undertaking—the  “Annual Student Scholarly Writing Competition.” I look forward to receiving the name and pictures of this year’s winner,

    -Omicron Omicron chapter’s “We Are Watching You” program to alert students that they are being considered for alumni membership in OKU,

    -Epsilon Zeta chapter’s “Thanksgiving Day Event” helping the homeless in their community,

    -Omega Omega chapter’s “OKU Night At The Bears”, where the members of their chapter sponsored a night at the ballpark for students and staff,

    -and Kappa Lambda chapter’s many student awards and scholarships.

      As I begin to put together the 2002 issue of the “Bulletin” I will contact each chapter asking about current activities. Please be sure to not only include a list of activities, but also pictures. I look forward to hearing from all our chapters.
