Phi Phi Chapter Mourns Loss-

Dr. David Greer, past president of the Supreme Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, passed away July 27, 2007. Following his graduation from the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, Dr. Greer served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps for six years. He then returned to the dental school for further studies after which he attained a Master of Science in Clinical Dentistry with a major in Dental Radiology. It was at that point that he became associated with the faculty and remained so until his retirement in March 1998. While Dr. Greer became extremely active in areas of teaching and research necessary to proceed in an academic environment, he was also active in U.A.B. and National Dental Committees. This is evidenced by his numerous representation on early U.A.B. preparations boards planning committees and his being national president of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honorary Society; his national presidency of the American Academy of Dental Radiology (currently The National Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology); and his editorship as a member of the Council Board of National Examinations
